Mr. Kennedy Is Fired For Almost Injuring Randy Orton.

On an episode of Monday Night Raw which took place on Monday May 25th at the Staples Center in LA, John Cena, Mr Kennedy, MVP, Jerry Lawler and Batista took on Randy Orton, Ted Dibiase Jr, Cody Rhodes, The Miz and the Big Show in a 5 on 5 Tag Team match.

Earlier in the night Mr Kennedy had made his surprise return after a 10 month leave due to an injury. During his return speech he revealed that he would be the 5th man in the 5 on 5 main event. Near the end of the match Kennedy delivered a very sloppy back suplex to Randy Orton which caused him to land awkwardly on his bad shoulder. Randy Orton had suffered a broken collarbone in the previous year in a Last Man Standing match against HHH. As you can see in the video, after taking the suplex Orton sits up and very angrily swings his arms at Kennedy. Things would only get worse as Kennedy would manage to injure his wrist after taking an RKO from Orton after the match had ended. As the rest of the team was celebrating in the ring Kennedy can be seen nursing his right wrist until the show had ended.

It was reported that Mr Kennedy and Randy Orton had exchanged words backstage about the incident. Orton was mad at Kennedy for almost re injuring his shoulder and told him to be careful. WWE Management saw it a different way and on May 29th 2009 Kennedy was released from his contract and wished the best in his future endeavors. Reports were that the WWE was ticked off at Kennedy for almost injuring Orton and this partially led to his release.
