Paul Heyman Publicly Fires Sabu For No Showing.

During the 4/8/95 ECW Arena Show from Philadelphia, PA A Three way tag team match that saw Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko, Sabu & Taz, and The Public Enemy compete for the ECW Tag Team Titles.

Sabu had been offered more money to wrestle in Japan with NJPW at that time, so instead of showing up the arena, he took the Japan booking instead.

Sabu hald promised Paul Heyman that this wouldn’t happen. Since it did happen, Paul publicly fired Sabu, who upon returning to America began wrestling for WCW.

Sabu was replaced by Rick Steiner.
