During the WWE PPV No Mercy that took place on October 21 2001 at the Savvis Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Edge took on Christian in a Ladder Match for WWF Intercontinental Championship.

At one point in the match, Both commentators were speaking of the amount of pain Christian is in, Paul Heyman accidentally referred to him as Gretchen
